What it does
- Scans your catalogue and gives every product an SEO score with clear flags: no SEO title, no meta description, images without alt text.
- Drafts fixes with AI for the products you select: an SEO title, a meta description and alt text for each image that lacks it.
- You stay in control. Nothing is written to your store until you click Apply to store on a product. You can edit any draft first.
- Fix History with Undo. Every change is logged with the value it replaced. Undo restores it, unless someone has edited the value since.
Installation guide
- In your BigCommerce control panel, open Apps → Marketplace and find Winking Toad SEO Fixer.
- Click Install. BigCommerce shows the permission the app asks for — Products: modify — and nothing else. Click Confirm.
- The app opens inside your control panel and loads your product catalogue. There is no separate account to create and no password to set.
- Anyone who can open apps in your store (your other control-panel users) can use it too. Removing a user from your store removes their access to the app.
User guide
1. Find what needs attention
Open the app. The summary bar shows your average SEO score and how many products need attention. Each row lists what is missing. Use the search box to find a specific product.
2. Draft fixes
Tick one or more products and click Draft fixes for selected. For each product the app proposes an SEO title, a meta description, and alt text for each image without it. Drafting one product at a time keeps the suggestions specific.
3. Review and apply
Read each suggestion. Edit anything that is wrong — AI drafts can be inaccurate, so check facts such as sizes and materials. When you are happy, click Apply to store on that product. Only then is your store changed.
4. Check, and undo if needed
Open Fix History to see every change with its before and after. Click Undo to restore the previous value. If a value was changed again after the app wrote it, the app leaves it alone and tells you.
Free allowance
The app is free during launch, with a monthly allowance of AI drafts per store (shown at the top of the app). The allowance resets each month. Scanning, editing, history and undo are not limited.
Uninstalling
Uninstall from Apps → My Apps. The app erases the stored store connection, its users, your fix history and usage counts right away. Changes already applied to your products stay.
